Words in excess are a facade
creating emptiness and silencing true meaning

Words that are empty are expressive yet unfulfilled
Hiding true meaning that only a touch or gesture could truly convey

Words in excess are the mortar holding bricks in the wall
That creates loneliness and isolation
Diminishing hope with a stockade
That can only be tumbled by heartfelt gesture

  1. One hopes that some words, those in books, get to carry weight. But I think I know what this article means. How people sometimes say one thing to your face, but then betray you. That false love, and the pain that comes with it. Actions speaking louder than words.

I hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy during this difficult time.

    1. Exactly. The written word and the spoken word can be very different. Written words are seen as permanent and long lasting . But the spoken word is far from temporary – they can be vey hurtful, deeply felt, and last a lifetime. Actions definitely speak louder than words. Thank you for visiting! Stay safe
